Khyiah Angel is an Australian author and teacher. She began her career as a primary school teacher before re-training as a high school teacher, working in the Blue Mountains /
Nepean area of New South Wales. She spent some years in country NSW, near Braidwood, before moving to Sydney in 2009 to take up a job in the public service. She hated it and resigned after a few months.
She now lives, writes and teaches in the Ryde area of Sydney. Writing fiction is her first love, but she also very much enjoys teaching Creative Writing to children and young adults.
Khyiah is a 2010 recipient of the Australian Society of Authors Mentorship for her first novel Fake Profile, the story of how a single posting on a social media website can go horribly wrong. Her second novel Say Nothing, will be released early in 2014. She is currently working on her third novel.
Khyiah has undergraduate degrees in [Education] and [History, Philosophy & Politics], PostGrad qualifications in [Education] and [Technology] and Masters degrees in [Gender Studies] and [Creative Writing]. She is currently a PhD candidate looking at the Digital Literacy of young adults.
